About All Hallows Church, Clixby
All Hallows Church at Clixby, Lincolnshire, is the surviving thirteenth-century chancel of a much larger medieval church, restored in 1889 after years as a ruin.
It stands alone by the roadside near Grasby, about 1 mile east of the village and approximately 2 miles north of Caistor.
Inside is a fourteenth-century stone slab carved with a cross and chalice, commemorating an unnamed priest, and Latin inscriptions praising the Virgin Mary run along the wooden ceiling.
The Churches Conservation Trust looks after the building, which is Grade II* listed and open daily to visitors.

The chancel at Clixby dates from the thirteenth century and once formed the east end of a far larger parish church, which had fallen into ruin by the nineteenth century. It was restored in 1889, when a west porch was added to give the building its present form. The font and pews now in use were brought in from other historic churches during this period, and Clixby itself survives only as a small hamlet near Grasby.
