About this place
Doddington Hall is an Elizabethan mansion on the edge of the village of Doddington in Lincolnshire, completed around 1600.
Construction began in the 1590s, and the house is attributed to Robert Smythson, one of England's foremost Elizabethan architects, though no direct documentary records survive to confirm his involvement.
The house has never been sold, passing through connected family lines across more than four centuries.
Its walled gardens cover several acres and are well regarded for their planting.
The hall is independently managed by the family and has its own farm shop and estate business on site.
