About this place
Dorney Court is a Tudor manor house in Buckinghamshire, built around 1440 and remarkably little altered since.
The Palmer family has owned it for over four hundred years, which accounts for much of its preserved character.
The great hall and oak-panelled rooms give a strong sense of how the house has actually been lived in across the centuries.
The first pineapple known to have been grown in England was reportedly presented to Charles II from Dorney Court in 1661.
