Great Ote Hall is a half-timbered historic house on Janes Lane in Wivelsfield, East Sussex.
The Godman family acquired it in the sixteenth century and returned to ownership in 1881, after a period under other hands.

History
Wivelsfield was first recorded in an 8th-century charter, and Bronze Age and Roman finds in the area point to settlement long before that. Great Ote Hall's timber-framed core dates from around the sixteenth century when the Godman family first acquired it, though the wider parish had already been settled for well over a thousand years by then. The property changed ownership between 1718 and 1881 before returning to the Godman family. The house carries a Grade I listed building designation reflecting its historic and architectural interest.
