About Homme House
Homme House was built in the 16th century of stone, then substantially rebuilt and enlarged in brick during the late 18th century.
It stands near Much Marcle in Herefordshire, towards the bottom of the north end of Gwynne's Hill.
Only a single tower survives from the original stone building, now attached to the later brick range.
Historic Houses supports the property, which today operates chiefly as a wedding and events venue rather than a general visitor attraction.

The house is Grade II* listed, a grading that reflects the ambition of its late 18th-century remodelling over the earlier Tudor building it replaced. Its summerhouse, standing separately in the grounds and dating from the 17th century, is listed at Grade I, the highest level of protection given to historic buildings in England.
Architecture of Homme House
The main block is brick with stone dressings and a slate roof, three storeys high with a six-bay front. The entrance porch has two pairs of Tuscan columns beneath a pediment, and the surviving stone tower from the earlier 16th-century house is still attached to the later range.
