About Iscoyd Park
Iscoyd Park is a three-storey redbrick country house on the Wales-England border near Whitchurch.
Its early 18th-century front sits behind a run of period outbuildings, including a dovecote with a pyramidal slate roof.
The house has been the Godsal family's home since 1843 and is Grade II* listed.
It is listed with Historic Houses, and today it opens mainly through its events programme and occasional open days rather than regular public hours.

The house was sold in 1737 to William Hanmer before Philip Lake Godsal bought the estate in 1843, and it has stayed in his family ever since. Philip Langley Godsal and his wife Susie took over in 2009 and began a full restoration of the house and its outbuildings.
Architecture of Iscoyd Park
The main house is built in redbrick under a slate roof and dates from the early 18th century. It is supported by a range of 18th- and 19th-century service buildings, among them a coach house, corn house, kennels, laundry, piggery and stables.
Worth knowing
The Godsals' restoration won the Historic Houses Association and Sotheby's Restoration Award, along with Hudson's Heritage Awards for best wedding venue and best accommodation.
