About this place
Loseley Park was built in 1562 using stone salvaged from the ruins of Waverley Abbey, the first Cistercian monastery in England, founded in 1128.
The house stands near Guildford in Surrey and has belonged to the More-Molyneux family for over four centuries.
Its great hall retains original panelling said to have come from Henry VIII's Nonsuch Palace.
The estate remains privately owned and open to visitors.
