The National Trust now cares for the building.
It is not currently open for regular visits, with public access planned in stages as the Trust develops guided tours, learning activities and digital content.

The house was built in the late 1960s to a design by Richard Rogers and his then wife and professional partner Su Rogers, intended as a home for Rogers' parents. It served as an experimental space for construction and design ideas that Richard Rogers carried into his later career, which included major commissions such as the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Lloyd's building in London. The National Trust has taken the property into its care as an example of post-war British modernism.
