History

The manor at Meols Hall is recorded from the 12th century, making it one of the older domestic sites in this part of Merseyside. The estate has traditionally been linked with the Fleetwood-Hesketh family, who held it across many generations. The tithe barn on the estate dates from the 16th century and was later restored by local craftsmen for use as an events space.

Architecture

The hall and its tithe barn reflect centuries of alteration, with the barn's timber structure carefully restored rather than rebuilt, keeping its original form intact.

Gardens & grounds

The estate covers around 100 acres of wooded parkland surrounding the hall and its outbuildings, used today for outdoor activities and events.
