About this place

Prideaux Place in Padstow, Cornwall, has been home to the same family since it was built in 1592.

The Elizabethan manor house sits above the town and looks out across the Camel Estuary.

Its great chamber is noted for a remarkable plasterwork ceiling, dating from around 1600.

The house is still privately owned by the Prideaux-Brune family, who open it to visitors each year.
