Eight National Trust places sit inside the High Weald National Landscape boundary, from Standen in the north to Lamb House in the south. Four of them are within four miles of a mainline railway station, and five have a café.

Around East Grinstead

Standen: Standen, West Sussex: Philip Webb's 1890s Arts and Crafts house with intact Morris & Co. interiors, managed by the National Trust. Around Smallhythe

Bodiam Castle: Bodiam Castle, East Sussex: a 14th-century moated castle built in 1385 by Sir Edward Dalyngrigge with licence from Richard II. Bateman's: Grade I listed Jacobean house where Rudyard Kipling lived and wrote from 1902–1936. The three are about 15 miles apart from first to last, so they fit into one day.
