Three National Trust places sit inside the Dartmoor National Park boundary, from Finch Foundry in the north to Lydford Gorge in the south. No of them are within four miles of a mainline railway station, and no have a café.

Finch Foundry: England's last working water-powered forge. Castle Drogo: A 20th-century castle designed as a family home, overlooking the Teign Gorge. Lydford Gorge: Lydford Gorge, Devon: the deepest gorge in South West England, with waterfalls and woodland walks managed by the National Trust. The three are about 18 miles apart from first to last, so they fit into one day.
